Theraplay

Theraplay is a therapeutic approach aimed at strengthening attachment, boosting self-esteem, and building trust through play. It involves interactive, structured play sessions among a therapist, a child, and often a parent or caregiver. These sessions emphasize four key qualities of healthy parent-child relationships: structure, engagement, nurture, and challenge. By engaging in playful activities, Theraplay helps children feel secure, valued, and understood, promoting emotional and behavioral regulation. This method is particularly effective for children dealing with attachment issues, trauma, developmental delays, and behavioral challenges.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a therapeutic approach that utilizes bilateral stimulation (eye movements, tapping or noises) to help reduce the vividness and emotions associated to a negative or traumatic memory. In this approach the brains information processing system engages in the healing with the body. This method is particularly effective for individuals that suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), psychological challenges such as panic attacks, eating disorders, addictions and other distressing life events. EMDR is effective for children and adults.

Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback is a non-invasive therapeutic method that helps individuals regulate brainwave activity. Using real-time displays of brain activity, people can learn to adjust their brain function. Through visual or auditory cues, individuals can enhance mental performance and reduce symptoms of various neurological and psychological conditions. Neurofeedback is often used to treat ADHD, anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders. Its goal is to improve brain function, leading to better cognitive and emotional well-being.

Biofeedback

Biofeedback is a non-invasive therapeutic method that enables individuals to control physiological functions using real-time feedback from their bodies. With the use of sensors, data is gathered from body activities such as heart rate, muscle tension, skin temperature, and brainwave patterns. This data is then presented through visual or auditory signals, helping individuals learn to consciously regulate these functions. Biofeedback is often used to manage conditions like stress, anxiety, chronic pain, hypertension, and headaches. To help enhance physical and mental health by increasing self-awareness and promoting relaxation.

Equine and Animal Therapy

Equine-Assisted Therapy (EAT), is a therapeutic approach that involves interactions with horses to promote emotional growth and healing. This therapy leverages the unique bond between humans and horses to address a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and behavioral challenges. Participants engage in activities such as grooming, feeding, and leading horses, which can help improve self-esteem, emotional regulation, and social skills. The presence of horses in therapy sessions provides a calming and non-judgmental environment, facilitating deeper therapeutic work.
